Consent overlay & image protection

Gate sensitive galleries behind a consent notice and deter casual image saving.

For practices showing sensitive before/after imagery, Pro adds a consent overlay and image-protection deterrents under Settings → Display Options.

Enable Sensitive Content Notice to require visitors to confirm before the gallery is revealed. You can customize:

  • Heading — default “Sensitive Content”.
  • Message — explain why the content is sensitive (basic formatting allowed).
  • Button text — default “I Understand — Show Gallery”.
  • Remember choice — store the visitor’s consent so they only confirm once.

The overlay renders immediately on page load (before any images are visible) to prevent a flash of content, and is dismissed when the visitor accepts.

Image protection (Pro)

Enable Image Protection to discourage casual saving — it disables right-click and image dragging on the gallery and modal.

Deterrence, not security. Determined users can still access images via browser developer tools or the cache. For real protection, combine this with watermarking.

A note on compliance

These tools help you present sensitive imagery responsibly, but they don’t replace proper patient consent. Always obtain written authorization before publishing identifiable before/after photos, and follow the privacy regulations that apply in your jurisdiction (such as HIPAA in the US).
